Individual Care Plan 3.0 now available via improved MyKinderComfortNet

From now on, the updated Individual Care Plan 3.0 (IZP), which was launched in May this year, can be accessed and completed via MyKinderComfortNet (MKCN). In this online environment, families and (care) professionals of a seriously ill child can safely share information and make contact.

MyKinderComfortNet (MKCN) is a platform where parents have control over their child's personal network. They determine which involved parties are added to this. Within this safe environment, which is easily accessible via an internet browser, those involved can share information with each other, such as important information about the child. Messages can also be sent between parents and healthcare professionals and healthcare professionals themselves. And agreements can be made and viewed. In addition, it is possible to take notes and there is child-oriented information or links to relevant other sources.

Transitional arrangement

With the adjustment of the module of the MKCN Individual Care Plan, it is possible to complete and share the updated IZP via a digital environment. A wish of many healthcare professionals and parents. This applies to the new files. IZP 2.0 remains available for current files. The Children's Palliative Care Knowledge Center thus offers users a transitional arrangement, as a precursor to the further digitalization of the IZP. This project, which falls within the NPPZ II Child and Young Person programme , has recently started.

Other improvements

In addition to adjusting the IZP module, other improvements have been made for even more optimal use of MKCN. For example, the security of patient data has been improved with the help of two-factor authentication. This ensures that all childcare centers can grant permission to use MKCN and that the system meets their conditions. The additional security text, also called a penetration test, that was recently carried out shows that MCKN is a very safe environment. The platform has also been made more accessible. During the test phase, carried out by various Kinder Comfort Teams, parents and a network coordinator, it was found that MCKN has become more user-friendly, also thanks to the user manual that was made available.

"I am completely impressed by what I see, MKCN has gone to the next level!"

"Practically furnished, and once inside I can still find my way without any instructions, really great!"
