Meet Corintha and Anne.
The Knowledge Center for Pediatric Palliative Care is growing. Our team has been expanded with two new employees. They are happy to introduce themselves to you.
Corintha Wijnhorst - network coordinator at the NIK
My name is Corintha Wijnhorst and I started on January 1, 2023 as a network coordinator at the Network Integral Child Care for the regions of Holland Rijnland and North Holland / Flevoland.
I started out as a nurse and have worked, among other things, as an outpatient nurse for families with children with very severe intellectual multiple disabilities. Last December I said goodbye to the Philadelphia Foundation after 22 years. I have enjoyed holding various positions here, including the last 18 years as a care and guidance manager. I mainly focused on the (Z)EVMB target group and their network. For example, for many years I was the manager of a large residential and day care location for children and young adults with a (Z) EVMB. In addition, as chairman of the EMB vision council, I have been involved in the development and implementation of a care vision / care program for this target group (within the Philadelphia Foundation). For the past three years I have been involved as a quartermaster in the Mooi Leven Huis initiative. In this initiative, equality is one of the driving core values and this is expressed, among other things, by working very closely with parents.
In addition, for the past year and a half I have been coordinator of the EMG knowledge platform, which focuses on connecting, promoting and sharing knowledge. And in which, in addition to networking, I was also allowed to participate in new national initiatives.
The common thread in my work is to continuously connect, promote and share the knowledge and experiences of professionals, parents, but above all also of the network. Because in order to promote quality and raise the care for the child and the family to an even higher level, I have experienced that we cannot do without the cooperation, experiences and knowledge of the network. And the parents and professionals who stand around the family and the child. I am convinced that if we do this together, the voice of the child and the family will be seen and heard even more.
I hope to contribute to our vision and mission with my experiences and knowledge. I look forward to a beautiful and valuable collaboration.
Anne Koning - policy officer
My name is Anne Koning and since January I have been working as a policy officer at the Knowledge Center for Palliative Care for Children. I do this through the Talent for Care traineeship. This is a two-year development process in which I - in addition to assignments at various healthcare organizations - receive coaching and training on healthcare and business leadership. My study background is in the master Health Law.
I will mainly be involved in developing, setting out and evaluating policy and administrative documents and will also provide support in other activities of the Knowledge Centre. I think it is important to dedicate myself to this target group and hope that my work can contribute to the happiest possible lives of seriously ill children and their families. And optimal support for the care providers involved. In this position my passions for ethics, health law and children come together.
I am very much looking forward to this new challenge and want to get to know this special and challenging field as quickly as possible. Questions or want to meet while enjoying a cup of coffee? That seems fun! I can be reached via a.koning@kinderpalliatief.nl or 06 45643718.
