There is so much to be done – come and help!

Are you now willing to be an active member?

Dear members,

After quite a full and successful 2022, we look forward to what 2023 will bring!

Here at the Steering Committee, we said goodbye to Lizzie Chambers, one of the group founders and Together for Short Lives representative, as she moved on to other challenges. We (and the children and families) can't thank Lizzie enough for what she has done over the years towards awareness, education and service development. She has been replaced by Helena Dunbar , TfSL's Director of Service Development and Improvement – a warm welcome!

We expect to continue to collaborate with several other European organizations , in different aspects of pediatric palliative care advancement – inclusion of palliative care education in pediatric residency and fellowships, integration in children with cancer* or neurological disabilities**, interaction with primary care pediatrics… .

There is so much to be done – WE NEED YOU! You are reading this newsletter because at some point you became a member of this network – are you now willing to be active? Please let us know how you think you can help, either by translating our Flyer or Charter into your national language, by offering to give a talk on your area of expertise or research, or by leading a work package or project. Or maybe you have research ideas we can help with? Please reach out to us at childreneapc@gmail.com and let us know!

PS – you don't have to be an EAPC member to be part of our network (only Steering Committee members have to - stay tuned for any upcoming vacancies); If you are a member of your country's national palliative care association, you can apply to become an EAPC member for free (without voting rights).
