All children have the right to appropriate care

Children with care needs after hospital are entitled to care that fits into their lives. This requires cooperation between all involved. Child and family, care organizations, schools, municipalities. Medical Childcare Collaboration helps with that! The method for indicating, organizing, implementing and transferring care and support.

What is MKS?

Good care for children means integrated care. During the period in which the child makes the transition from the hospital to home, professionals and parents can organize this integrated care together.

If you are involved in the care and support for the child, you work together with the parents on coordination, agreements and implementation.

It is made easier for you with Medical Childcare Collaboration. MKS is the right care for the child, in the right place with the right people. MKS brings knowledge, tools and support to bring about the desired cooperation around the child.

Research into the implementation of the MKS method

Commissioned by the Child & Hospital Foundation and the Dutch Centre of Expertise in Children's Palliative Care, a project group of five students from the Hogeschool Utrecht with different study backgrounds started research into the implementation of MKS (Medical Child Care Cooperation). Their report builds on research from a previous project group. By conducting interviews and conducting a social cost-benefit analysis, among other things, students have gained insight into the bottlenecks in the implementation and the benefits of MKS.
